I come before you God, my God, my Father.

Father of immense majesty,

Father of infinite tenderness,

Seize me with your two hands:

Your Son and Your Spirit.

May your Son bind me closely to himself

And may his embrace never loosen.

May your Holy Spirit shape me in the likeness

of Jesus Christ, your beloved child,

infuse me with his filial tenderness towards you,

Impatient for your glory.

Just as a father on earth bends down,

takes his little boy

and holds him up at arm’s length

so, you, Most Holy Father, seize me with your two hands

And place a kiss on my forehead.
